“Gods of War” had convinced up to a certain point; the Reverence return to the track with a half-hour EP that wants to celebrate the guitarist Pete Rossi, who died last March, proposing some of his last recordings. In addition to the sad but obligatory change of guitarist (now with the band there is Paul Kleff), our have also changed vocalist, which is now Scott Oliva of Wind Wraith. Of the eight tracks in the two lineup are live; net of an introand a single fulminant, there are four pieces to discuss. “Firelord” has rhythm and grit: for a piece of us power metal composed by veterans. “Phoenix Rising”, which has that feeling typical of Metal Church or Vicious Rumors and an enthralling rhythm; succeeded in the work of the guitars in “New Order”, while “Sleep” is a short acoustic ballad that guesses the right chords. Our plans for a European tour and new record for next summer, we are waiting for them!
