Band: Reverence
Album: When Darkness Calls
Running time:? min
Label: Ice Records razar

2010, founded the U.S. power metal band REVERENCE. This is, however, certainly not from absolute newcomers, but has with Bryan Holland (guitar, TOKYO BLADE) and Todd Michael Hall (vocals, JACK STARRS’S BURNING STAR) two rabbits old as founding members. They just wanted to make something completely new and found in Steve Wacholz (drums, ex SAVATAGE), Ned Meloni (Bass, JACK STARRS’S BURNING STAR) and Pete Rossi (guitar, LYNCH MOB) implement the appropriate members for their ideas. The guys of course together so much stage and studio experience, you could look forward with excitement what is there in the form of the debut album “When Darkness Calls” zurollt on us.
Get at the promo was a bit difficult because it was the album currently with us in Europe are just as expensive import, but with a bit of back and forth with the management post was this not a problem, the interested buyers should the disc is best about The band’s website get.

But I digress before ye zulegt the disc eventually, we should clarify vielleich first whether they are even worth. Therefore we now jump straight times for the first track, the title track “When Darkness Calls”. Pretty bleak starts the whole thing, at least when using the tunes but it is all over with the gloomy character. The number goes well forward and has a chorus of us only just in time comes and goes directly into the ear. As an opener, the number is really perfect. To the following track, “Bleed for Me”, a video was made, which you can definitely check the band’s website.Commanded us to be here a BRAINSTORM even notice the number again by their chorus and the successful melodies. Nix weltbwegendes, but made very solid.
The rapid “Phantom Road” spins the thread further and skillfully keeps us pretty happy. Here the guys have once again cobbled together an absolutely catchy track that belongs to the best of what we get offered on the entire album. Class power metal number!
In the middle of the album we find with “Too Late” to the next video track, which starts quite calm and melancholic, but quickly turns into a burly metal masher. Seat fits, wobbles and has air, well done.
After that, the guys unfortunately a bit line flutes, because quite can not convince the next numbers.
Only with “Revolution Rising” can be found back in the track which you then also retains the last track, “After the fall leaves have” and “Vengeance is mine”.

Playing tips:

You should definitely the title track “When Darkness Calls”, the video track “Bleed of me”, “Phantom Road,” “Too Late” and “Revolution Rising” Listen closely.

Conclusion:

Sometimes it pays to just stay still stubborn and a promo chasing. The debut album from REVERENCE has become really good until about absolute hammer is still missing a little something, to the song quality varies but still pretty. Is the first part of the disc still husky, sneak in the second part but a few fillers and the quality drops a bit. You get to the last track, but just in the corner, but a bitter aftertaste remains something. Because if you look at the quality of out tips would certainly have been here a little bit more inside.
Nevertheless, should be power metal fans, “When Darkness Calls” can not miss and order it via the usual importers or the band themselves.
