Gods Of War – Review by Heavy Metal About (US) 3.5/5

Reverence – Review by Heavy Metal About (US) 3.5/5

American power metallers Reverence return with their second album, God of War. Featuring ex-members of Tokyo Blade, Riot V, and Savatage, and based off their 2012 release When Darkness Calls, the metal masses have a good idea as to what to expect, and Reverence deliver.

God of War would not be out of place in the late ‘80s, with Todd Michael Hall’s soaring vocals and Bryan Holland’s shredding guitar attack. This album trends more towards classic ‘80s-style American metal, with modern power influences. Unlike most power metal, the lyrics focus on overcoming the struggles of everyday life. This album will satisfy a lot of fans.
