You like US (Power) Metal? Then you have to listen to Reverence! They have now brought out their first live album with a whopping 15 tracks with the cooly titled “Vengeance .. Is Live”. After three albums and an EP, a band may as well. With drummer Steve Wacholz (ex-Savatage) and Bryan Holland (ex-Tokyo Blade) are like the rest no unknown mucker on board. Reverence have even managed to cast the immigrant to Riot V Todd Michael Holl with a peer successor. Scott Oliva is a powerful singer who sings the songs with great fervor. Also the successful Savatage number “Power Of The Night” and the no less awesome Maiden cover “Wasted Years” are sung by the American as if it were his songs. But Reverence have enough own hits that seem to have been bundled here. The songs were recorded live in different places in the years 2013-2018, which I really do not listen to the chose. Rounding off the top disc of a successful artwork which somehow reminds of Maidens Eddie and other mascots. Besides Steelheart and the Volbeat record, this is one of my live albums of the year!
