REVERENCE (2015)
“Gods of War” (2.278)

Label: Razar Ice Records
VÖ: 04.11. 2015
Stil: Heavy / US / Power Metal

It is true that “When Darkness Calls”, let the 2012 debut album of these “all-star troupe” duly listen up, more than an underground theme are Reverence but not become. Not least because you could hardly be described as mass appeal then vigorous end and at the same time melodic traditional heavy metal.

In the meantime, not only the need for this kind of sounds has increased significantly again, it would not exactly be a disadvantage that to debut days still completely unknown vocalist Todd Michael Hall is for some time also active in the revived Riot V and his contribution to “Unleash The Fire”, the current Dreher this scene icon one was more important.

Its performance is of course also to “Gods Of War” imposing, where there are again the high places which he simply sensational copes. As no less essential also prove to the grandiose guitar passages of Men Bryan Holland and Pete Rossi. While the former Tokyo Blade strings Artist Bryan wrote with Todd the songs themselves newcomer Pete (who among others worked with Overland) proves Frickler before the Lord and solos with incredible dedication to the tracks. However, and this is the surprise: Without too much to push into the limelight!

The fact that the rhythm section – “Dr. Kill Drums “Steve Wacholz and Overloaded bassist Michael Massie – although only the finest, yet massive Groove templates provides should in any case be no doubt, a so inspired like-souled substructure have but definitely not all bands.

The songs themselves have everything wants the inclined fan. But should be particularly emphasized that with NWOBHM (Saxon!) – Drop side equipped, opening title track, the semi-ballad “Angel In Black”, the bretternde in the style of Metal Church wrecking ball “Tear Down The Mountain”, which from the basic riffs her sometimes blessed to early Dio reminiscent “Blood Of Heroes” and the with a chorus for eternity, certainly well into the program matching even at Riot V “Battle Cry”.

Highly successful Dreher a true “Super-Group” which will hopefully also show times in our latitudes!
