Reverence guitarist Bryan Holland checks in with an update on what he’s currently up to and what lays ahead for the band later this year!

So what is currently happening in the Reverence camp?

Right now we are currently in writing mode for our next release, Pete Rossi and I wrote the basic skeltons of six new songs last weekend. Its still early so some of the parts are still open to editing once Todd starts working on them, overall I’m really happy with the material so far.

Can you give us an idea of the direction of the new songs?

All of these new songs are still in the same vein as the first record, a bit of a modern vibe but still very much old school metal. They still have a darker vibe with some pretty wicked riffage, I don’t think we want to stray too far from what we’re known for but we have to grow too.

Is it too early to give us any song titles yet?

These are of course working titles, still in progress and may be subject to change but so far we have the titles ‘Man and Machine’, ‘Tear Down The Mountain’, ‘My Evil Ways’, ‘NeedlesEye’, ‘Bury Your Dead’, ‘Relentless’. I’m really happy with the chemistry Pete and I have had in writing these new songs, he and I have the same guitar influences of Criss Oliva, Randy Rhoads, Michael Schenker and others so its been an amazing partnership between us so far . I’m really eager for Todd to put his magic touch on these songs and bring them to life.

Can the fans expect a tour and a new release this year?

As for touring, we are heading to Europe in September for a few weeks that will take us through Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Switzerland and Italy and then some US East Coast dates in November, more dates are coming of course. Its been a while since I’ve toured Europe so I’m eager to see some old friends at our shows, we’re really excited about taking the band on the road. As for a new album, we are considering putting out an EP before the tour with a full length album to drop early next year, so a lot is happening behind the scenes.

There ya have it folks, lots to be excited about, new music and live shows coming your way!!
